With the French tit for tat quarantine rules our September trip to La Croix has now moved hopefully to October. We were looking forward to a few days in the September French sunshine with some friends but seems this is not happening this year. We will rearrange for 2021. Our October trip will be all about jobs and making sure the house is ready for the Winter months. We do accept guests in Winter and it is lovely to spend cosy evenings in front of the log burner but we tend to get less interest as the tourist attractions have shorter opening times and the weather is generally colder with rain. So instead of our trip to La Croix we have managed a little staycation to Devon. Beautiful beaches and stunning views... just not brilliant weather! We are staying in Appledore, a lovely little village in North Devon and have stunning views of the sea from the garden of the cottage we are staying in. A lovely few days and only a 2 hour drive from home! Here are a few photos of Devon.
