We’ve been back a week now after our trip to La Croix over Easter. What was supposed to be a trip to do a few jobs, check all ok for the season ahead and have a bit of relax turned into a full on refresh of La Croix. We replaced a lot of the soft furnishings, painted walls, added and varnished skirting boards, replaced lights and a lot more and so are now home in Bristol for a bit of a rest!
Despite the work it was great to see that La Croix was in a good shape following its locked up Winter. The log burner soon got it warm and it was as welcoming as ever. We did manage to get out a bit with trips to Tours & Saumur, although both did include shopping for house DIY supplies as well as nice lunches! We also caught up with friends, and I spent a lovely Sunday morning cycling the local lanes discovering stunning chateau normally hidden from view!
A great trip but too short as ever! We will be back soon and the hopefully they’ll be a bit more sunshine on the next trip!
