Well I sat down to do some much needed updating of our website and availability and Trevor decided that he wanted to help! So, if you see any weird spelling or misalignments on the main web page you will know it was a Trevor paw!
It's the time of year when everyone is busy getting ready for Christmas. We finally bought our Christmas tree today, with everyone getting ready early the choice was limited but we found the perfect one and got a couple of quid reduction as the kind man apologised for the lack of choice - result all round I think! I spent the afternoon with Ellen decorating the tree and wiith the house looking Christmassy we can start looking forward to some much needed time off from work. It will be a quieter Christmas than we had originally planned. We will be a family of 4 for most of the festive period with Grandma Pauline joining us for Christmas Day lunch. The bigger family Christmas has been put back as we all try to stay safe and well. We are looking forward to 2021 and the arrival of the vaccine hopefully enabling us all to say goodbye to Covid.
Although travel and holidays in 2020 were difficult we had quite a few guests able to enjoy La Croix in the Summer months. Not as many as we had hoped but much better than we anticipated during Lockdown 1 in the Spring and we have some lovely French guests just booked in for New Year. We are desperate to make another visit ourselves as we had planned a visit in both September and October but given the 2nd lockdowns in both France and the UK we put these visits on hold. This has meant that our wine store needs replenishing so we are going to make a trip to Majestic Wine to stock up for Christmas and seek out those Loire Valley wines.
