Life in Lockdown 3

Thought it about time for another blog, so here goes

As the UK is in the midst of the third full Covid lockdown we have got into a bit of a routine of walking around the local area. Our weekends generally include at least one long walk which has recently been a loop over the 2 M4 foot bridges which takes us from full on Bristol suburbia to feeling as if we live in the country. The walk takes us past horses, old barns, newly renovated cottages, a river and lots of doves - we even saw 2 deer run out in front of us last weekend. Unfortunately I wasn’t quick enough getting my phone out to take a photo so instead the one of the doves will have to do! It’s not quite the open space of the Loire Valley but it will have to do for now and with a slight diversion part way round we can stop off for a takeaway coffee and cake at The White Horse pub.... they are doing a fantastic takeaway trade despite not being able to open fully!

The good Covid news is all about the vaccine rollout. We are hopeful that this allows us all to start living a bit more normally and although it is making great progress I still think we have a long way to go before life fully returns to where it should be. We are also following the French story closely so we can safely welcome guests to La Croix as soon as we are able to. We are flexible on any bookings we receive and will accommodate changes around other bookings if plans have to change.

Take care and stay safe
